USAAF Escape and Evasion Bullion Winged Boot Silver Bullion on Blue Wool Insignia

This is a very hard item to find. It was awarded to pilots who were shot down and successfully evaded and escaped capture by the enemy.

It measures 2-1/4 inches square. It was once on a uniform (typically worn under the lapel) and has threads remaining from when it was attached. The condition is near excellent with some deep tarnish from age.
