This is an unusual variant of this wing, with a solid fouled rope on one side and pieced on the other. The design is consistent with the B.B.&B. made wing, with similar catch and BRONZE content mark.

This is a VERY rare wing -- authorized for less than 3 years -- made of STERLING silver and never gilded. This is known as the Second Pattern observer wing, and it is documented and pictured on page 42 of Wings of Gold at the bottom of that page.
