1920s US Naval Aviation Observer SILVER wing.

This is a VERY rare wing -- authorized for less than 3 years -- made of STERLING silver and never gilded. This is known as the Second Pattern observer wing, and it is documented and pictured on page 42 of Wings of Gold at the bottom of that page.

It measures 70mm and has a hollow back and hinged pin closure.
