US Army Air Force GOLD Flight Surgeon Embroidered Wing Badge Insignia on Chocolate Wool

This is a fairly scarce wing, only issued for less than a year. General Arnold did not like gold wings on Army pilots and mandated the change to silver in 1943.

The wing is goldenrod silk floss embroidered on chocolate brown wool gabardine. It measures 4-1/2 by 2 inches as shown. The condition is MINT and untrimmed.
