This is a relatively scarce blue wool one-piece armband with goldenrod yellow embroidered eagle, horn, and lightning bolt insignia. Here is a view of the back.

There are no maker marks. The armband measures 17-1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide, it has not been sewn in the back. All edges are finished by folding. Instead, there is a clever safety pin mounted on a metal pad sewn to one side to allow it to be easily removed.

The overall condition is near excellent, excepting a couple of very minor nips in the wool.

Here is a view of the back. The yellow trimmed swastika is machine embroidered on a yellow trimmed white field, and borders are all separately applied. The soft red wool is trimmed with gold bullion oak leaves and yellow piped border, with white piping top and bottom.  There is some slight separation of the white piping at the bottom edge at the folds, and a very small hole as shown here.  There is a faded orientation arrow on the back. There are no other labels or maker marks. The armband measures 20-1/2 inches long and 5 inches wide, it has not been sewn in the back. It comes with a 6 May 1945 note from the GI that took it and sent it home.  The note has some tears and tatters.

This is a very scarce one-piece khaki tan armband with a die-struck metal badge identified as Dominille Bucovina (State of Bukovina) with a cow and gear forced labor camp numbered metal badge.
