This is an extremely rare Legion Condor German Luftwaffe standarte.
This is a period photograph showing a virtually identical flag at the head of a Luftwaffe unit being inspected by Generalmajor Freiherrn von Richthofen and Generalissimo Franco. Note the Francoist arms are clearly visible as are the yellow rays from the front of the flag where it is folded back. This photo is NOT a part of this offering and is no longer available. It is shown for reference purposes only.
It is very heavy silver bullion and detailed embroidery on dense heavyweight red and yellow silk. It has a gold bullion fringe on the three sides opposite the loops. The fringe was very slightly trimmed to fit into a frame at one point in the past. There are a number of stains and some minor to moderate markings from long-time combat use in the field. All five suspension loops are intact and present.
These are close-up views of various details of the standarte, including the droop-tail eagle in Iron Cross on the face and the February 2nd, 1938 design Francoist arms on the rear. The front corners are shown at the upper left, upper right, lower right and lower left.
It measures 18 by 20 inches, excluding the three-inch loops.
This is one of the five RAREST German Third Reich flags. The flag has been authenticated by both the curator and senior curator of the Missouri History Museum Library and Research Center of the Missouri Historical Society soon after World War Two.

This is the usual 18 x 20 inch fancy silk banner with heavy silver bullion fringe. There are a number of moth holes as shown and STILL a rare banner. There are the usual brown leather straps attached to the top. The top has been reinforced with a rod fastened inside. The cog wheel is made of heavy silver bullion. Here are other views 1 2 3 4.

This is a multi piece 10 x 17 inch reinforced with heavy black material on the hoist. The attaching snap rings are silver and in near excellent condition.
The black & white SS color borders are heavy cotton cord. The 5 inch diameter SS SIGRUNES are multi piece & appear on each side. The chrome plated solid metal rod measures 18 inches long with the pole top swastika in a circle 2 inches in diameter. The fender attaching device features a heavy metal wing nut that would attach to the fender clip. The clip and the fenders are absent.
This super rare pennant & staff would make a fantastic addition to any advanced SS collection.

This is a heavy black velvet 14 x 20 inch double sided SS Totenkopf Death's Head Bugle Banner. It is in near excellent condition as shown. It was found by a 506th PIR 101st Airborne Infantry Division officer named 1 Lt D C Watts. His story and the story of this find is told in a new book I caused to have written.
