German Third Reich Marksman Badge and Medals

It is a one-piece gilt brass alloy white enamel with gilt swastika. There are no maker marks on the back.

Here is a view of the back. It has a lapel button attachment that shows the swastika aligned on the flat (as shown) and not on point, dating it to the very early 1930s.

The condition is very good. This is some slight enamel damage at the top from wear, as shown.

This is very deep hunter green enamel on gilt. It has a separately applied central disk with rifles, target and hunter's cap. It measures 64mm square (2-1/2 inches)

This is very plush brown fringe surrounding a central medallion featuring a stag and zimmerschützen rifles over a bulls-eye target. It measures 50mm in diameter (2 inches)

This is very plush green fringe surrounding a central medallion featuring a stag and zimmerschützen rifles over a bulls-eye target with a hunting cap on top. It measures 39mm in diameter (1-3/4 inches)

This is die struck medallion featuring a raised design of the city arms, the Bavarian arms, and zimmerschützen  bulls-eye target. It measures 39mm by 50mm (1-3/4 by 2 inches)

The badge was made by DESCHLER MÜNCHEN 9, however the maker sticker is no longer present. There is an applied pad spring pin closure. It measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter.

It is accompanied by an identification card with renewal coupons dating from 1929 to 1935 (the years 30-34 are glued under the top stamp). It is named to Fraulein Antonia von Desseur, a student of philosophy at the University in Munich. Her photo and information is inside.
