SS and Police Uniform Regalia

This is a matched pair of cufflinks with the HH monogram on both sides.

They are maker marked and gold content marked 585 on the backs

. They were found along with many other items in the Obersalzberg area by a member of the 506th PIR 101st A/B Division.

His story is told in a new book I had written titled "Treasure Trove the Looting of the Third Reich" available only from me.

Condition is near MINT  

This very scarce item, and hard to find in any condition. This one shows signs of frequent use, however, it remains in very good overall condition.

It is solid copper and appears to have been gilded at one time. There are rings for attachment of the banner. The spit valve is present, but missing the original pad. The steel mouthpiece is present, shown here from the right and left. There is an applied SS eagle insignia on the flare of the bell, shown here.

It is not maker marked. It measures 27 inches long overall, with a bell 5 inches in diameter. The bugle banner suspension loops are 16 inches center to center.

There is deep tarnish throughout, with the majority of the gilt finish gone. The tuning slide is seized from age and disuse. There are several dings and dents and some very slight bending. There are no kinks or signs of significant damage.

The overall condition is good to very good, as shown.

This very scarce item, and hard to find in any condition. This one shows signs of frequent use, however, it remains in very good overall condition.

It is heavy cotton with gold bullion fringe on three sides and heavy gold bullion cords and tassels. Both the unit idenfier and the swastika disk are bordered with heavy black and white SS cord. It is shown here from the back.

It is not maker marked. It measures 25 inches long and 16 inches wide overall, not including the fringe. It is suspended on gold bullion straps from a 22 inch hardwood bar with gilded brass end caps (tarnished).

The overall condition is soiled but still very good to near excellent, as shown.

It is not maker marked. It measures 10 inches long overall, with a bell 5 inches in diameter.

There is deep tarnish throughout.. There is a very old period repair to the bell from when it was apparently hit or dropped.  The repair is virtually seamless and very hard to detect from the exterior.

It is RZM SS 1053/39 maker marked. It measures 12 inches long and 1 inches wide overall.

It is in very good to near excellent condition, with a slight bend at the clip, as shown.

The customs protection service (tariff border control) was subordinated under the command of Reichsführer-SS Himmler following the 20 July 1944 assassination plot on Hitler.

This ring was a part of the Erich Göstl estate. Göstl was an MG-42 machine gunner with the SS-Panzergrenadier during WWII serving with the LSSAH. We have several other items from this estate and details of his service with his original 1939 Knight's Cross, here.
