EBL-0035 Eva Braun "EB" Framed Shadow Box with EB Monogrammed White Formal Leather Opera Gloves Lot |
This is a framed shadow box with EB 11-inch white formal leather opera gloves,
an EB monogrammed spoon, copies of photographs, and a number of German
stamps, currency, and a War Merit medal.
The monogram was hand embroidered by Eva with a neat EB butterfly monogram in white-colored embroidery threads at the outside of the forearm of both gloves. A close-up of the set is shown here. There is some light to moderate "foxing" of the leather and tarnish to the spoon, and routine wear from circulation on the stamps and currency. The frame measures 21 inches high by 25 inches long and is a little over an inch deep. |

This is a fur & leather belt that was recovered from her articles at the
Obersalzberg at the close of WW2. It measures 1-1/2 x 33 inches long with a GOLD buckle as shown. The condition is near excellent. Here are other views 1 2 3. This one was found at the Obersalzberg area by a 506th PIR 101st Airborne Infantry Division officer named 1 Lt D C Watts. His story is told in a new book I caused to have written. This is a 16 inch square table covering removed for the Obersalzberg
area by a member of the 101st Airborne Infantry Division . 1st Lt
DC Watts of 506th PIR 101st A/B Infantry Division fame returned to the
USA shortly after WWII with at least 5 steamer trunks loaded with goods
mostly taken from Hitler's Obersalzberg retreat. This came from that
collection. The collection was so massive and varied which I eventually purchased intact I then caused a book titled "The Looting of the Third Reich " to be written about this find. |

EB Pink Half Chemise |
This is a pale pink crepe half-chemise with wide shoulder
straps. The
monogram was hand embroidered by Eva with the crude
EB four-lobe monogram in off-white colored embroidery
threads at the right hip.
The bodice area where the straps attach is 13 inches across. It is trimmed in off-white lace and hand-knotted green embroidered knots. The measurement around the bust is sized to 36 inches (18 inches across). The bottom flares to a loose 44 inches with scalloped edge trim. This garment was designed to fit loosely. This is a view of the back. The condition is very good overall, with minor signs of wear. |

EB Pink Camisole |
This is a very pale pink silk satin and crepe lace
trimmed camisole with spaghetti shoulder straps. The
monogram was hand embroidered by Eva with the crude
EB four-lobe monogram in off-white colored embroidery
threads below the navel on the front.
The bust has soft mesh reinforcement for support, with a wide elastic back. The measurement is 34 inches with the elastic relaxed. The top is trimmed with a thin lace mesh edge. It is backless, with an approximate 42 inch measurement around the hips. The bottom is sewn front to back at the crotch. There is some lace across the hips to a "V" point in the front on the front side only. This garment was designed to fit loosely. This is a view of the back. The condition is very good overall, with minor signs of wear. |

It was used by Lt. D.C. Watts as padding and packing material around some of the more fragile items he sent back to the US while he was assigned to the Obersalzberg area as a part of the designated occupation forces Sizes vary, it is all in near relic condition. They would make interesting accent pieces for framed lots or similar application. All of the pieces included are shown in the images below in addition to the one at the left. |

Eva Braun Black Sequined Cocktail Dress |
This is a black Rayon cocktail dress with thousands of
black sequins in a serpentine pattern of loops and whorls
from shoulder to hem throughout.
The dress has no (apparent) monogram nor maker mark. It is possible the monogram was integrated into the pattern of the sequins as either an EB or butterfly (cloverleaf) pattern. The sequin chain is completely hand applied. It has a lightly padded bust with single vertical spring bones over the center of each breast. It is sleeveless with 4-1/2 inch shoulders. The waist is 28 inches (exterior), hips are roughly 36 flowing to 40 inches for the remainder of the length. It measures 43 inches top of shoulder to hem, with a good 6 inches turned under. It zips under the left arm from arm to waist. This is a view of the back. The condition is generally near excellent. The locking tab on the metal zipper is missing |

This is a shimmering off-white Rayon floral print sun
dress.
The dress has no (apparent) monogram nor maker mark. It is sleeveless with 12 inch straps pinned at the shoulders. The waist is 26 inches (exterior), hips are roughly 36 flowing to 116 inches at the lower hem for the remainder of the length. It measures 52 inches top of bust to hem, with a 1/2 inch turned under double stitched hem. It measures 30 inches over the top of the bust It has an 8-1/2 inch zipper at the center of the back. The condition is generally near excellent, with some minor staining from wear and long storage. |
